Where did 2017 go? That’s the question on everyone’s mind right now. For us at Peak Podiatry it was an excellent year filled with hard work, endeavour and of course happiness. Whilst the new year brings planning and further challenges, it’s also an important time to reflect on what we’ve learnt and achieved during 2017.

We thought we’d share with you some of our highlights for 2017.

  • Our latest recruit Hassan Karim has settled into life at Peak very smoothly. Not only that, also got married to his beautiful now wife Sarah. Pulling of a wedding within 6 weeks of engagement.
  • We’ve also welcomed Cheryl and Sara in administrative roles who have been so pivotal to our practice.
  • We were part of the Wildcats’ winning premiership season, looking after their legs and making sure the boys are always ready for the court.
  • After many emotional peaks and troughs we were finally able to get Gill Hamersely up and running for her Bravehearts’ 7 marathons in 7 days raising awareness for child abuse. Her metatarsal fracture was a constant pain. But we finally got there. That was truly inspiring and uplifting.
  • We got a brand new “toy”! Plantar Pressure Insoles that allow you to determine where and how load is spread directly across the foot. This is cutting edge technology that brings a new sphere of information to injury diagnosis and management. The only technology of its kind in Australia.

We’re delving into unchartered information in pathology and its relationship to biomechanics – exciting times!

We continue to strive to be Perth’s Premier Family and Sports Podiatry practice. This recognition we value greatly and reflects in our association as podiatrist to :

  • Fremantle Dockers,
  • Fremantle AFLW,
  • Wildcats,
  • Perth Lynx,
  • West Coast Fever,
  • Western Warriors / Perth Scorchers,
  • Hockey Australia and
  • WAIS.

2018 brings the Commonwealth games in the Gold Coast.

We are proud to announce that Darryn has been awarded the honour of being one of only 7 podiatrists in the country to attend to provide podiatry services at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Its exciting times ahead as the curtin closes on 2017. From all of us here at Peak we wish you a safe and happy festive period.

We hope that you also take time to reflect on your own great achievements of 2017, no matter how big or small and that 2018 exceeds your expectation.

Regards,

Team PEAK.
